Not good.

They will say they don't cover your issue because it was from not properly maintaining the vehicle. As long as they don't have to pay out an expensive claim, they are happy.

Complete waste of money

Extreme disappointment in GWC and poor customer service. We purchased a warranty for $3,500 11 months ago, and had a few problems that began shortly afterwards with our 2007 GMC 2500 HD. 1. The warranty covered ABSOLUTELY ZERO of these issues. 2. The dealer never gave us the option of a higher level of coverage. 3. Your company never mailed or informed of possible upgrade in coverage. 4. The great people at our repair shop were treated VERY RUDELY by GWC staff when contacted to find out if any issues were covered. We will never purchase a GWC warranty again, and will warn everyone we know to steer clear of this company. What a giant waste of $3,500 hard earned dollars.

Horrible experience

Had an alternator go out 2 months after purchasing my truck. Beware they will only pay for parts "at cost" so after my deductible they only paid $97 toward a $400 alternator repair job. This is with the "exclusionary policy" which is supposed to be the top tier policy.

Not Honoring Claim

Buyer Beware!! Total miscommunication between "agents" and employees of GWC. I had to become a referee between my repair shop and GWC. Agents of GWC not familiar with vehicle yet they rely on that review for claims. (meaning not a ASC Certified Mechanic or knowledge or foreign auto such as Audi, BMW, Volvo etc. ) This has cost me $7,390 in repairs that most of if not all should have normally been covered. Did not initially receive a copy of contract just application when purchased. I discussed that with dealer I financed auto thru today and a copy is being mailed hopefully 12 months after application and purchase. I drove only 4K miles in 14 months before failure of engine. Please review and go over all details prior to purchasing with "agents" to outline what you must do prior to any claim to be authorized. I am a Senior Citizen and I believed that this warranty would be good for a used vehicle. How wrong was I.

I had to get an attorney ... I filed a claimed demanded for them to honor... served the company paper's... got a court date and they settled and cut me a check for $26,000 ... Don't waste your time going back and forth with this company ... Just go the legal route.

Bogus....

I have a 2011 Kia Sportage that requires a new drive belt tensioner. The policy that I was sold on, the power train plus does not cover this. It would have been nice if the salesperson would have been more specific about what's covered under each plan. Therefore, I could have made a better decision. As it is, I CANNOT upgrade to the coverage that would cover it AND the plan is $200 a month....FOR PRACTICALLY NOTHING but major stuff. The salesperson was a nice guy, but I feel that I got ripped off and will be asking for all of my money back from this sham of a warranty. Going to cancel it!

Refused refund on service charge by a slimeball manager.

On the first day of our vacation my wife & I had one of our cars totaled, needing to leave town and planning on using that car, we had to use our other vehicle. However the A/C was broken.

Feeling we needed A/C for the trip and we were offered immediate service by our trusted volks repair shop, we had it repaired. No we didn't ask GWC for their approval first, but the circumstances didn't allow it. Mr.

Slimeball said it would have only taken 10 minutes on the phone, yet it took him 5 requests and two days to get back to me. He was a *** and said there was nothing they would do towards the repair.

BEWARE THE GWC WARRANTY COMPANY/MOTOR TREND MAGAZINE SCAM!

BEWARE THE GWC WARRANTY COMPANY/MOTOR TREND MAGAZINE SCAM!

When the quote representative/salesperson called, they proceeded to ask questions about my prospective purchase and still refused to give a comparative estimate of various plans! They claimed that I had to then schedule someone to come out to inspect the vehicle after purchase.

{THE CATCH: That will be a non-refundable $99 fee to examine your vehicle (BIG RED FLAG!!!). “If you decide to purchase a warranty, assuming that your vehicle passes inspection, we’ll apply the fee to your purchase price.” They still refused to offer a quote or plan price comparison. A price that was still unattainable until after you spend $99 dollars for the privilege of having them take you.. er take your money before even purchasing a warranty…} In my humble opinion you should run the other way.

Motor Trend has just damaged their credibility as a respected publication, by publishing this choice. In fact I believe that Motor Trend Magazine has accepted kickback money or an under the table bribe to give GWC such a high recommendation. Both should be brought up on charges before the Federal Trade Commission as scam artists dealing in unfair trade practices.

A copy of this review will be forwarded to: GWC Warranty Company,, Motor Trend Magazine, The Federal Trade Commission and placed on the most prominent social media sites for public viewing. – Tom D., Northeast Ohio.

Found that out the hard way. Ripped off 1500.

How else would the company know your car works at the time of purchase? Did you use the coverage?

GEARLESS!

I took my 2008 Toyota Avalon with only 43,000 miles on it for a check engine light. They said that my timing gear was failing.

Toyota redesigned the gear and it would not fit the cars older relative components. GWC refused to pay but $1,600.00 of the $3,500.00 bill. I now have a seal leak in the bank two oil line and they refuse to pay any of the $1,900.00 bill as their claim is NO part failed! I hate this company and to sped any money on a warranty with them is a complete rip off!

This company does not ever try to contact the warranty owner and sends a representative to the dealerships to check out the cars prior to allowing a repair. This ties up dealers bays and has the customer of of their vehicle even longer than expected.

I had oil get into my cylinders and it caused $16,000 in damage to my 2008 Porsche 911. I had to replace the cylinders, pistons and rods plus the oil air separator. They wouldn't cover it because I could not identify exactly which part failed. I fought them and lost. NEVER buy from this company. They are crooks and steal your money. It was a very expensive after market warranty and not worth a dime. Bought from the dealership. I now find out that no reputable service shop will work with them because they constantly fail to pay and they have good lawyers. Too late for me, not too late for you.

I had the same problem. I just got my car back last week!

They fixed it. It ruined my whole electrical system. They had to replace it.

Cost about 6800 dollar. Now I'm fighting them for car rental reimbursement

Horrible Service

I was informed today that my local Ford Dealer charged to much for labor. I would need to take my car to and Auto shop where we maybe receive a used rebuilt transmission.

Warranty Company would rather pay to have used transmission put in out of the gate vs. having my transmission serviced. Our Expedition is in great shape and I do believe they have picked a battle with the wrong guy. Our 2009 Expedition has a shift problem out of low gear.

We have only had our vehicle for since December 2016 and put less than 6,000 miles on our car. We have a sweet ride and why can't we have a local Ford Certified Dealer fix our car? Lastly I was informed the warranty on used transmission would only be for 6 months when are car payment is for 3 years. I will post more as Better Business Bureau should shut them down and any dealer who sells this warranty.

Who is really pocketing our money? For clarity we just want our transmission serviced not somebody elses junk.

Lastly labor rate for job so far off......... Dealer wants 17 hours for tear down GWC will only pay 9.3 hours (All Data) $70.00 Scam Alert!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Scam Alert!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Scam Alert!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Scam Alert!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Scam Alert!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Scam Alert!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Scam Alert!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Scam Alert!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Scam Alert!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Scam Alert!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Scam Alert!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Scam Alert!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Scam Alert!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Scam Alert!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
